The man in the tree

Our neighbor is one of the most wonderful people we know.   She decorated the man in the tree today with fall leaves and that made me so happy.  She will usually do something seasonal with him but it's been a while now and I just loved it!

Here are some others.  I couldn't find them all but as you can see she is very creative :)

A limo, Siena and Once!

Uncle Ed and Aunt Susan gave Haakon and Adam a dinner and a show with a date for their Confirmation gift.  A couple of weeks ago we were picked up in a Limo. Adam picked me as a date.  I said he could ask a friend or a girl if he wanted but he said his first choice was me and that was just the sweetest thing to say.  Haakon asked Aunt Ann which was also very nice.  She brings the boys out often and I know she appreciated being asked.  So we were picked up in a Limo and went to this wonderful and amazing restaurant named Siena on Federal Hill in Providence.  The limo had the boys' favorite soda and wine for the adults :)

The food was first class - a real treat!

After dinner we went to Providence Performing Art Center and saw "Once!" which was an awesome and sometimes funny musical about a musician.  The actors actually played all the instruments on stage and it was different from other shows I have seen.  We all loved it :)

A night to remember for sure.  An amazing gift - Thank you Ed and Susan :)

Moonlight walk

Cathy and I have changed our weekly walks that for 15 years have usually been a Wednesday morning to week-end evenings now.  She got a job teaching again and so we adjusted to the change.   Tonight was almost a full moon.  It was so beautiful and bright that even the scary pitch black Wolf Island Road was lit up.  We saw two deer in a field as we started the walk and on my way home a deer was jumping along the side of the road in front of my car for almost 100 yards.  It was all very beautiful and peaceful and the red, orange and yellow fall colors made me feel like we were in a movie.
